Bupa Chooses Freud Communication

Healthcare PR jobs  A lucrative brief to boost Bupa’s profile and increase consumer interest has been secured by Freud Communications. The Bupa account is thought to be worth in the region of £250,000 to the company, following a competitive pitching process which pitted the agency against other top-class PR and communication companies.

The firm, famous for private healthcare has overhauled its public relations needs in-line with reorganisation set-forth by the new corporate affairs director, Steve John who was formerly with PepsiCo.

Steve John already had ties with Freud previously because the agency was the longstanding winner of PepsiCo’s public relations account.

The brief is thought to be consumer-focussed and will involve some corporate media relations and reputation management. The key strategic aim is to change public perception of Bupa as a luxury service or job perk and turn it in to a service which is viewed as essential instead.
