Seven different agencies are pitching for Eastbourne Borough Council’s £140,000 brief. The Corporate PR account will be offered to an agency on a three year contractual basis and the successful agency will work as an outsourced corporate press office for the council. The budget of £140,000 will cost the council a reported £30,000 less than keeping the previous in-house press office.
The locally based PR agency Cobb PR are presently being used by the council to work as an outsourced PR firm but as the new brief will be the entire Corporate PR department for Eastbourne Council, Cobb PR has re-pitched for the larger brief.
The internal Corporate PR department for Eastbourne Borough Council will close down entirely. They are seeking a mix of high-level corporate expertise and the facility for a complete, outsourced press office.
