House PR recently won the French cognac brand Rémy Martin to add to its extensive account list, despite being pitted against two other agencies in the pitching process. The competitive three-way pitch was for both the Coeur de Cognac and Rémy Martin VSOP brands and the company which owns the drinks, First Drinks Brands is reportedly pleased with the outcome of the negotiations. The controller of marketing for the business, James Stocker commented on the contract, saying that House PR would ‘complement [the First Drinks] marketing strategy with their great creativity and proven track record.’
House PR is set to put in motion a series of campaigns for both cognac brands and aims to help the product reach new audiences and create a more ‘contemporary’ image for the spirits. Consumer sampling and media relations activities are planned and this is the agency’s fifth business win with First Drinks Brands. They also promote Disaronno amaretto, Sailor Jerry a spiced rum and Cointreau an orange flavoured liqueur popular in cocktail-making.
