Monkey merchandise will be part of Comic Relief’s plan to fundraise this year and they have employed Lexis to help launch it. The character Monkey became famous in a series of advertisements alongside Johnny Vegas. Following a legal dispute between ITV Digital and Mother (their advertising agency) the rights for the character were donated to Comic Relief.
The new merchandise will include plush toys, mugs, greetings cards and posters. Lexis is especially going to focus on raising awareness of the merchandise around the festive period and also has plans to promote the Monkey merchandise next year.
