Octopus Communications have scooped an account with Trend Micro to promote their profile in the UK. The Japanese company is interested in increasing UK awareness of their products and chose Octopus Comms following a competitive four-way pitching process. The business win means that Octopus is replacing NSPR who were running the tech account for the last three years.
The campaigns for the tech brand, best known for child protection software will focus around Trend Micro being a good option for family protection and internet security, along with small business use. Trend Micro is also a huge fish in the large enterprise market due to its powerful online security products.
The MD of Octopus, Jon Londsdale told PR Week recently that he intended for the agency to ensure that Trend Micro was the leader in highlighting the issues that affect consumers and their internet use. They also want to further promote the Trend Micro tech products to business customers.
In addition to traditional PR and Comms work, the agency plans to boost Trend Micro’s social media exposure.
