Parting with Beige, Sony has begun the hunt for a new agency to work on their consumer electronics accounts. The fees for the account were reportedly thought to be in the region of £250,000 a year. The brief focuses on televisions, camcorders and hi-fi equipment but will not exclude mobile phones, PlayStation and goods intended for use by industry professionals.
Sony already uses Bite Communications for PR in Europe and Marlin PR handles Sony’s account in the UK. Shine was also recently appointed by the tech giant to take care of PR for PlayStation, games and software and the PlayStation Network.
