Travel PR firm BGB has recently been bought-out by Four Communications. Resultantly, the two companies have joined forces and combined their travel PR orientated offerings. The merger means combined billings of £2.5m, a staff of 30 dedicated travel PR experts and a new name: Four BGB.
Four BGB’s clients will include Club Med, The Barbados Tourism Authority and Visit Wales amongst other prominent names in the travel industry. According to PR Week, neither party would reveal the financial aspects of the business deal, but the combination of the companies is set to move the BGB team over to Four Communication’s HQ in Leicester Square.
Statistics published in last years PR Week’s Top 150, reported that Four Communication’s 2010 billings were in the region of £6m, so they’re expected to see a sizable increase on that already substantial figure this year. There are also hints from senior staff that further acquisitions of independent businesses are on the horizon for the company.
