UK Banks Use PR to Promote Business Banking

Financial PR jobs  Leading UK banks are gearing up to use powerful PR in order to help restore the ailing banking industry’s status among small business owners. Among the banks investing in PR, Lloyds Banking Group, RBS, Santander, Barclays, and HSBC have all been reported to be teaming up. The banks have formed a Business Finance Taskforce in order to pursue good PR advice.

The taskforce was founded in October 2010 with the goal of reassuring small business clients and regaining their trust after the dissatisfaction expressed towards banks during the recession. They aim to publicize their intentions to improve the amount of information available to small business owners, improve frayed relationships overall and convey the message that they can provide access to steady finance.

The key message of the campaigns will be about making sure that small to medium enterprises view the banks as friends. The campaign is set to last for a six month period at first and the brief is thought to be worth in the region of £200,000 to the right agency. Pitching for the Business Finance Taskforce account has begun, but it remains to be seen which agency will win the attractive client.
